Why Work in Public Sector Housing Delivery? - London Borough of Sutton

What makes working in public-sector housing special?

Shivam Tandale, an LSE urban-planning graduate, asks Adam Tucker, Sutton’s Head of Housing Regeneration, why he should build his career in local-government housing delivery.

Adam explains the attraction: the satisfaction of building homes people genuinely need, the creativity of working with fewer resources, and the chance to make a visible difference in residents’ lives.

“If I work 40 hours a week, I walk home knowing I’ve helped deliver homes people really need.”
